Tournament Information

Each NBA regional office has determined the process for identifying the 14U boys and girls teams that will represent the following eight (8) international regions at the Jr. NBA World Championship.

Registration for international teams and players is closed for the 2018 Jr. NBA World Championship. For more information on a Jr. NBA program in your region, please click here or contact JNWC@NBA.com.

International Region Info

Africa & Middle East
The teams representing Africa & Middle East in the Jr. NBA World Championship will include top boys and girls players from Jr. NBA clinics, festivals and leagues spanning 13 African countries. The players will be selected in May 2018 and come together for training camp in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Asia Pacific
The Eltham Wildcats and Bulleen Boomers will represent Asia Pacific in the Jr. NBA World Championship. Respectively, these teams won the 2017 Australian Under-14 Boys and Girls Club Championships in Melbourne, Australia in October 2017.
China
The teams representing China in the Jr. NBA World Championship will include top players from the Jr. NBA World Championship China Regional Finals. This new tournament held in May 2018 will include top boys and girls players from the Jr. NBA Ministry of Education program that currently reaches 2.5M youth across 15 provinces, as well as players from The NBA Academy Zhejiang.
Europe
The team representing Europe in the Jr. NBA World Championship will include top boys and girls players from more than 15 countries across Europe. Selected in partnership with the national basketball federations in these countries, these players will participate in a training camp in Slovenia in May 2018.
India
The team representing India in the Jr. NBA World Championship will be the winning boys and girls teams from the Jr. NBA World Championship India Regional Finals, a new tournament held at the NBA Academy in Noida from April 29-May 2. This tournament will include top boys and girls teams from the Reliance Foundation Jr. NBA program currently reaching 5.4M youth in India.
Mexico
The team representing Mexico in the Jr. NBA World Championship will include top boys and girls players from the Jr. NBA Challenge program in Mexico City, currently reaching over 30,000 youth in Mexico.
South America
The team representing South America in the Jr. NBA World Championship will include top boys and girls players from 10 Jr. NBA Leagues in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay who will be selected following a training camp in May 2018.
